Siege of the Spot

Siege of the Sofa is a performance where I turn my family’s fight over the best sofa spot into a tiny domestic war. For this artwork, I laser-cut a foldable wooden “war table” with an engraved, painted map of my living room. I also created wooden soldier-figures representing each family member and guest, identified by their outfits. In the performance, I am a self-appointed commander, planning strategies to conquer the spot, using humour to explore power, affection, and the shared space at home.
